CLEAN WATER PROJECT AT MALIMBA
Malimba Community School, Sierra Leone
A new school which opened in January 2021 which will serve several hundred primary students. We have funded a borehole well with handpump giving the school its first drops of water in November 2021, however this school urgently needs provision of a water filtration system as there are very high concentrations of iron and other contaminants in the well water in order to have clean water drinking on school grounds.

FUNDED PROJECTS
the Uzima XL filter, requires no replacment filters and estimated to last around 10 years

CLEAN WATER PROJECT
Global Outreach, Sierra Leone
Clean water project: Even though the school has been operating since 2004, the children are still affected by chronic diarrhea making them miss school and sometimes needing emergency care at hospital. After a lot of research and investigation to find out why, we worked with water experts to develop a holistic plan which will give them clean drinking water for the longterm. Our plan involves a new solar pump, a water reserve tank, drinking water taps and a handwash station with soap, and integration of computer learning with water education, and participation programs for the students.
Construction started October 2021
